Twitter sentiment towards Brian Cowen – 88% negative

Although this figure may come as no surprise to most but almost 9 out of 10 tweets concerning our incumbent Taoiseach Brian Cowen are negative in nature according to TweetFeel. TweetFeel is service that combines real-time Twitter search with sentiment detection algorithms to determine whether a tweet is positive or negative.

We conducted our analysis for the keyword ‘Brian Cowen’ a short time ago with results showing that 88% of a selection of tweets mentioning Brian Cowen were seen as being negative.
