Innovation Outreach: Boston to unpack global impact of disruptive technologies

This month marks the next chapter in the Innovation Outreach program, as tech leaders will meet in Boston to discuss the global impact of the most disruptive innovations.

From October 15-17, top minds from some of the world’s leading institutions including MIT, The New York Times, The Founder Institute, World Bank, Microsoft, Delta Airlines, Nestle, and others will gather at Innovative Outreach: Boston to focus on the impact of the most innovative technologies of the 21st century.

Focusing specifically on big data, analytics, and artificial intelligence, this edition will explore how big data can reveal the patterns of human behavior to optimize workplace organization; how analytics is the connective tissue between data and decision-making (and how to make the most of it); and how artificial intelligence can boost business problem solving (especially through leveraging computer automation and reasoning).

The conference looks to build on the buzz and momentum generated from the Dublin event in July 2019, which was Innovation Outreach’s largest gathering to date.

Speakers will include:

  • Pattie Maes, Professor at MIT, who will discuss AI and cognitive enhancement
  • David Bell, President at Idea Farm Ventures, who will present on next-generation retail business models enabled by data and AI
  • Amy Webb, Founder at the Future Today Institute, who will deliver the conference’s opening keynote

Other presenters include:

The conference will feature speeches, roundtable discussions, exhibitions, as well as more informal meet-and-greets.

It is a follow-up to the Innovation Outreach Conference in Dublin, the last event held by the program back in July. In Dublin Innovation Outreach member companies discussed innovations, particularly in the context of future connected spaces such as homes, cars, hospitals, schools, workplaces, and more.

The co-host of the conference is Flex’s Boston Innovation Center, a 17,000-square foot hub in the heart of Boston that supports both local startups and large multinationals. The collective space, with tech and university partners across the east coast, boasts 3D printers, modeling and CNC equipment, high-precision injection molding, and more.

Innovation Outreach is an invitation-only forum for senior, innovation-minded executives at global organizations.

Members are focused on better understanding innovations and the disruptive changes they have on businesses and industries, as well as finding common ground and opportunities for collaboration.
